In 2023, West Suffolk Transport Services collaborated with Slim's Pilot Car Services to provide escort support for David Watson Transport. The operation involved escorting a number of oversize loads measuring up to 5 meters wide from Portbury Docks to West Bromwich. Our professional team ensured the transit was conducted safely and efficiently, adhering to all regulatory requirements and prioritizing the security of both the cargo and other road users throughout the journey. For the final 10 miles of the journey we were assisted by CMPG (Central Motorway Police Group) in escorting 2 loads at a time into site, assisting with traffic control and safe transport of the loads.
